Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed the reason why he has never been sacked as a manager, citing his team's winning record as the key factor.
This
comes as 12 Premier League managers have lost their jobs this season alone,
with Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers being the latest casualties.
Potter was fired as Chelsea manager after
just six months in charge, with the team currently sitting in 11th place in the
Premier League. His sacking was followed by Rodgers' departure from Leicester
City after a four-year stint, with the Foxes struggling in the relegation zone.
Guardiola, who had previously stepped down
from his roles at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, attributed his success to his
team's ability to win games. "I will tell you a secret.
“We win games. If we don’t win games, I would
be sacked. It’s not because my hair is better than the other ones. I’m not
sacked because we win a lot of games," he said during a press conference
on Friday.
