In the midst of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, the Gaza Strip teeters on the brink of a worsening humanitarian catastrophe, where vital supplies face the looming threat of disruption. The crisis intensified when Israel imposed a "full-scale blockade" on the region, putting access to crucial resources such as electricity, food, fuel, and water in jeopardy.

The situation in Gaza has grown increasingly dire, with residents reporting that aid deliveries have not reached the enclave since Saturday. The spokesperson of al-Qassam Brigade, Hamas’s armed wing, threatened to execute civilian hostages and broadcast these killings if Israel targeted people in Gaza without prior warning. The international community has been closely monitoring the situation in Gaza. The United States Army’s Secretary, Christine Wormuth, stressed the need for additional funding from Congress to support Israel in its current conflict while simultaneously providing aid to Ukraine in its war with Russia. She emphasized the importance of expanding munition production and covering the costs of munitions.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), also known as ‘Shiites,’ has declared its support for the Palestinians. In a significant move, the European Commission, the largest donor for the Palestinians, has suspended all Palestinian funding. The European Commission cited the urgent need to address the foundations of peace, tolerance, and coexistence, highlighting concerns related to incitement to hatred, violence, and the glorification of terror.
