Woman dies after husband accidentally reverses over her in church car park

In a deeply distressing turn of events, a woman has passed away after an unintentional incident in which her husband car ran over her in a church parking lot located in Sydney, Australia.

The woman, aged 70, had been dropped off at the Castle Hill Baptist Church where she conducts a bible study group at approximately 9:30am local time on Sunday, March 19th.

As the woman's husband, also aged 70, was operating the vehicle, the accident occurred and was witnessed by another member of the congregation. Fortunately, the husband was not harmed in the incident, and authorities have reported that he is cooperating with the investigation. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene, and her husband was taken to Westmead Hospital to undergo mandatory testing.

At this time, no arrests have been made. The Pastor of the church, Ian Deane, addressed reporters and described the occurrence as an "extremely tragic" accident. He went on to express his sadness, emphasizing that the woman was an active member of the church, and the witness who saw the event unfold was also an active participant.

Images captured at the scene exhibit a white vehicle encompassed by police personnel with a white sheet covering the right-hand side. Castle Hill is a neighborhood situated in the north-west of Sydney, located in the New South Wales province of Australia.
