 By Ndife David

The Traditional Ruler of Ihite Community in Orumba South Local Government Area, Igwe Timothy Ifurunwa, has praised Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for his exceptional leadership, particularly in promoting the ease of doing business in Anambra State.

The monarch made these remarks earlier today after a brief assessment tour of several standardized bus terminals and parks within the old Aguata region.

His commendation follows the Governor’s remarkable efforts in enhancing commercial transport activities in the state through an effective revenue collection system.

Speaking on the importance and benefits of a centralized revenue collection system and organized parks, Igwe Ifurunwa applauded the Governor for the initiative, stating that the new system would promote comfort and orderliness in the state’s transport sector. He noted that the irregular collection of revenue by different unions and agents had long posed significant stress and risks to both commuters and transport operators.

He emphasized that Governor Soludo is already working diligently to build a smart mega city through an intelligent, efficient, and well-structured intermodal transportation and tax payment system.

According to the Ihite monarch, the new tax system is successfully making transportation stress-free and ensuring accessibility to all parts of the state, thus improving the overall travel experience, especially on newly constructed roads.

Igwe Ifurunwa further highlighted that, with the recent upgrade in the state’s transport management system and the improved organization of the Internal Revenue Services, transport companies can now provide convenient, affordable, and safe transportation services to customers across Anambra.

He praised Governor Soludo for his significant investments in infrastructural development and innovative technology, noting that the new initiative will make it easier to track drivers and vehicles in cases of touting, theft, or other emergencies. He described the system as a game-changer in improving transportation and traffic flow, thereby promoting serenity and boosting commercial activities in Anambra.

Reaffirming his unwavering support for Governor Soludo’s administration, Igwe Ifurunwa urged major business owners, particularly those in the transport sector, to ensure timely tax payments to boost the state’s internally generated revenue. He stressed that increased revenue will enable the APGA-led administration to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Anambra State.
