The Chairman elect of Orumba South LGA Hon. Shedrack Azubuike has thanked the People of the local government for voting massively for him and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the September 28 elections.

Electoral Commission's Returning Officer for Chairmanship Election in Orumba
South, Mr. Chinedu Okpala who announced the result at the Council Secretariat
Umunze, declared that Hon.Shedrack Azubuike of APGA polled Twenty Thousand, One
Hundred and Nineteen votes (20,119),
being the highest number of votes cast to beat others.
Speaking to newsmen shortly
after being returned winner, Hon. Azubuike who dedicated the victory to God and
APGA faithful in Orumba South, expressed joy that Ndi Orumba South were able to
prove that they are predominantly APGA members during the election.
The Mayor thanked the Orumba
South Stakeholders, Ndi Igwe, Presidents-General as well as the entire people
of the area for giving him the opportunity to serve them through their votes.
He assured that he would not
disappoint them in any way even as he promised to run an open door
administration with the aim to improve the living standard of the people of
Orumba South, while pledging his unalloyed loyalty and support to Governor
Chukwuma Soludo, who he said, has recorded meaningful developments in Orumba
South.
