In line with Governor Soludo's vision to alleviate poverty and ease the suffering of the masses, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Flag Bearer for the Awka South Local Government Chairmanship election, Prince Chinedu Okafor, organized a free fuel distribution for tricycle (keke) riders in Awka South Local Government Area yesterday.
The event took place at Masters
Energy Filling Station in Okpuno, Awka South Council Area.
This act of generosity reflects
Prince Chinedu's commitment to the welfare of the common man and is part of his
broader transformation agenda focused on serving humanity. By providing fuel to
keke riders, the incoming Awka City Mayor has demonstrated that everyone
deserves support during critical times.
In a brief speech before the
distribution of free fuel, Prince Chinedu emphasized that this gesture is part
of his ongoing commitment to the well-being of the people, aimed at mitigating
the economic hardship currently affecting the nation. He remarked that the
dividends of democracy should be felt by the people and not otherwise.
Prince Chinedu urged the riders
to continue supporting Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo CFR, in
his efforts to build a sustainable, livable, and prosperous homeland. He also
encouraged them to back his own bid for the position of Executive Chairman of
Awka South Local Government in the upcoming September 28 election. He pledged
to empower the youth, care for the elderly, and transform the Awka Capital
Territory as outlined in his 'Revolutionary Manifesto.'
Speaking on behalf of the
tricycle riders, Chief Onwunbiko from Umuzocha expressed gratitude to Prince
Chinedu for his support of the common man, noting that they had never
experienced such generosity in their area. He assured the Prince of their
backing and votes in the forthcoming election.
Chief Onwunbiko further stated
that Prince Chinedu is socially aware, sensitive to the needs of the people,
and dedicated to serving the public's best interests, which makes his election
non-negotiable.
