NULGE Appoints Aromeh Ag State President As Adigwe Exits Anambra LG Service

Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, has appointed Comrade Nicholas Aromeh as an Acting President of the union, Anambra State Chapter.

This is contained in a letter signed by the Secretary General of the union, Comrade Gambo Isah, and issued to newsmen by Comrade Aromeh at the union's state secretariat, Awka, on Thursday, 25th July, 2024.

The letter, which was titled, 'Approval on your Appointment as an Acting State President of NULGE, Anambra State Chapter,' read in part, 'on behalf of the National Executive Council (NEC) members of NULGE, I am directed to inform you (Aromeh) of your appointment as an Acting President of NULGE, Anambra State Chapter.

'Your appointment was as a result of Comrade Chikwelu William, the State President's exit from the service of Anambra State Local Government Service Commission.

'Please, note that your appointment takes immediate effect and you are to summon emergency State Executive Council (SCE) on or before Friday, 26th July, 2024, to brief them on the state of affairs... and development in the Anambra State NULGE,' the letter stated.

While briefing newsmen, the Acting President, pledged to carry all members of the union along, and work assiduously to ensure that its operations continue till the matter between the state government and Comrade Adigwe is resolved.
