Chimezie Obi Receives Nze Chinechendu Title From Obosi Community

Obosi witnessed a euphoric atmosphere as the Nze na Ozor Uruowelle Society conferred the title of "Nze Chinechendu Obosi" upon Barrister Chimezie Obi, in recognition of his efforts in promoting peace, security, community development, and youth empowerment as the President General of Obosi Development Union Worldwide.

The event, held at the celebrant's country home in Amaoliora, Uruowulu by Ukwudala in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, saw members of the Nze na Ozor Society, family members, age grades, women's groups, friends, and well-wishers expressing their love and appreciation for Barrister Obi's impactful leadership.

Conducting the initiation rites, Mr. Ujuboñu Uyenu (Nze Ugochukwutubelu Ugonabo), Head of Nze Ikewelugo of the Ebunam family of Umunnagbe kindred, Uruowulu Obosi, emphasized the society's foundation on truth and exemplary lifestyle. He highlighted the community's decision to honor Barrister Obi in recognition of his achievements as the President General of Obosi Development Union Worldwide. Chief Uyenu urged the new chief to uphold the laws and principles of the prestigious society and encouraged him to continue his path of quality leadership.

In his response, Chief Barrister Chimezie Obi expressed gratitude to the members of Otu Nze Na Ozor Uruowelle and the Obosi community for deeming him worthy of the honor. He acknowledged that the new title would inspire him to work harder and continue serving the people of Obosi to the best of his ability. Chief Obi commended the community for their unwavering support and promised to meet their expectations and contribute further to the community's development and growth.

He also extended congratulations to Governor Soludo on his recent double recognition and other notable achievements in the state, pledging continued support for the Governor in delivering more benefits of democracy to the people.

Barrister Chidimma Obi, the recipient's wife, expressed boundless joy over her husband's induction and vowed to support him in becoming an exemplary member of the group. She prayed for God's protection over her husband and for the success of all his plans for the community. She also prayed for Chief Obi to achieve greater heights and thanked their guests for joining in the celebration.

In a goodwill message, Chief Ken Buggie (Ezedioramma Obosi), a friend of the celebrant and a prominent member of the community and the Vice President ODU Uruowulu Branch, who also doubles as the Chairman of Uruowulu Obosi Nze Society, Chief Chijioke Ejindu both praised the choice of the title name, noting its significance in reflecting Barrister Chimezie's successful tenure as President General.

They expressed confidence that Barrister Chimezie would continue to work towards peace, security, transformation, and development, while also attracting more stakeholders and government support to the community. Chief Igwe Obi called on other affluent members of the Obosi community to support the President General in his endeavors.

The ceremony was highlighted by special dance and song presentations by Ndi Nze na Ozo Obosi Traditional Society, Ndi InyomDi Umunnagbe, Uruowulu Obosi, Igba Ifechukwu Age Grade led by Chief Emeka Madubulum (Ozonma Obosi) and other dance groups paying homage to the President-General, climaxed the ceremony.
