In a significant technological
advancement, Peter University has become the first Nigerian tertiary
institution, whether private or public, to complete the installation of its own
fiber optic cable for internet access, supported by a 35-metre mast. This
infrastructure, with 10 terminations throughout the campus, originates from a
base station in Ekwulobia.
This new technology will
support the university’s broadcast station upon its launch and enhance the
deployment of current Learning Management Systems (LMS). This will allow
students and scholars worldwide to access lectures easily, ensuring Peter
University remains at the forefront of educational innovation.
