President Tinubu And One Year Vacuous Scorecard

By Polycarp Onwubiko

It is a truism that security is the primary responsibility of governance the world over. President Buhari led government was prominently marked with pervasive and intractable insecurity throughout the country.

President Tinubu who exuberantly promised to wrestle insecurity to the ground has failed woefully to live up to his billings as pervasive and intractable insecurity throughout the country metastasized beyond description. Blood and gore have continued to become the hallmark of the terrorists masquerading as herdsmen who have the borders in the northern part of the country flung open to them for unchecked infiltration ostensibly for ethnic cleansing and territorial expansion to populate Muslims in Nigeria.

in summary, since the primary responsibility of government is security, it goes without saying that president Tinubu has not done anything to justify his "emilokan" mantra. Nigeria is 'finished'.

Massive Lamentations For Rent Increase

Fantastic increase in house rent calls for scrapping Ministry of Housing. The federal government should direct a Review of revenue sharing formula tilted toward more Revenue to the state governments to enable state them embark on massive housing program for the people.

In a Federation, the Central government should have no business running Ministry of Housing. It is an aberration. How insane and curious for the Minister of housing seated in Abuja to know the housing needs of all the states in the Federation. How can he ascertain the type of housing taking into consideration the cultural values of ethnic nationalities on the type of housing that suit their way of life.

This monstrosities and groping in the dark are fallouts of pseudo federal arrangements bequeathed by the military Decreed fraudulent and fundamentally flawed 1999 Constitution which must be dumped for a PEOPLE'S CONSTITUTION fashioned by the selected representatives of ethnic nationalities.
