Nigerian Army Confirms Two Soldiers Stabbed Each Other Publicly In Market In Enugu

The Nigerian Army has officially acknowledged an incident involving the stabbing of one of its personnel attached to the 74 Supply and Transportation Brigade, 82nd (Airborne and Amphibious) Division. Private Aliyu Musa Abdullahi was reportedly stabbed by his colleague, Private Yahaya Sani, during a quarrel.

An incident report obtained by Heraldviews detailed the event, stating that the altercation occurred at the Artisan new market in Enugu State. Private Yahaya Sani allegedly used a dagger to stab Private Aliyu Musa Abdullahi on the head. Currently, the injured soldier is receiving treatment at the 82 Div DMSH, while Private Yahaya is in custody pending further action.

It had been previously reported on the incident, citing allegations that Yahaya stabbed Musa after being accused of theft. Musa had claimed that his phone went missing, and Yahaya was the last person seen with him before its disappearance.

Sources familiar with the situation recounted how the altercation unfolded, with Musa accusing Yahaya of stealing his phone while they were in transit. In response, Yahaya allegedly disarmed Musa and stabbed him with a dagger.

This incident follows closely on the heels of another tragic event involving a soldier from the 82nd Division.
