Nestled in the vibrant heart of
Awka, Millennium College of Nursing Sciences has swiftly risen to prominence as
a bastion of excellence within the nursing education landscape. Since its
establishment in June 2022, the institution has orchestrated a symphony of
achievements, driven by a steadfast commitment to innovation, dedication, and
the pursuit of academic excellence.
Under the adept stewardship of
Mrs. Chisom C. Ezulike, the current provost, Millennium College of Nursing
Sciences has charted a trajectory of rapid expansion and acclaim. Despite it's
fledgling status, the institution secured accreditation for 75 student places,
a testament to its unwavering dedication to quality education and
infrastructure development.
From meticulously curated
lecture halls to cutting-edge ICT facilities and immersive demonstration
spaces, Millennium College of Nursing Sciences provides its students with an
unparalleled learning environment. This dedication to excellence has yielded
tangible results, with students consistently achieving outstanding academic
performance, boasting a commendable 100% pass rate in both mid-introductory and
first-semester year one examinations.
Trailblazing in educational
methodologies, the institution made history in the Eastern region by embracing
Computer Based Training (CBT) for entrance examinations and Preliminary
Training Sessions (PTS). This forward-thinking approach garnered praise from
the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), solidifying Millennium
College of Nursing Sciences' reputation as an innovator in nursing education.
Through strategic
collaborations with esteemed healthcare establishments such as Chukwuemeka
Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital and various Health Centers in Awka South LGA,
the institution ensures its students receive comprehensive clinical exposure,
equipping them with the practical skills and confidence necessary for success
in their future careers.
The institution's meteoric rise
has not gone unnoticed, with a surge in demand from prospective students eager
to partake in its pioneering programs. Responding to this heightened interest,
Millennium College of Nursing Sciences recently obtained resource verification
for its Nursing Department and full accreditation for its Midwifery Department
from the NMCN.
In celebration of this
significant milestone, the NMCN has expanded the quota for the Nursing
Department from 75 to 120 and for the Midwifery Department to 100, underscoring
the institution's unwavering commitment to excellence and meeting the evolving
demands of the healthcare sector.
As Mrs. Chisom C. Ezulike

efforts of the faculty, staff, and students, emphasizing their shared commitment
to excellence and innovation as the bedrock of Millennium College of Nursing
Sciences. She is grateful to the Visitor to the College, His Grace, Most
