Since its inception in June 2022, Millennium College of Nursing Sciences has rapidly ascended to prominence in the field of nursing education, thanks in no small part to the exceptional qualifications and leadership of it's current provost, Mrs. Chisom C. Ezulike.

The journey to establishing Millennium College of Nursing Sciences was a testament to determination and dedication, with accreditation and approval secured in less than six months. Acknowledgment and gratitude were extended to His Grace, the Most Rev’d Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, PhD, the Archbishop of the Province of the Niger, and the Bishop of the Diocese of Awka (Anglican Communion), whose support paved the way for the college's inception.

Bolstered by well-equipped facilities, including lecture halls, ICT centers, and demonstration halls, Millennium College of Nursing Sciences immediately set itself apart from other institutions. This, coupled with a team of qualified lecturers, enabled the college to achieve a perfect 100% pass rate in both mid-introductory and first-semester year one examinations.

Notably, Millennium College of Nursing Sciences emerged as a pioneer in the Eastern region by adopting Computer Based Training (CBT) for entrance examinations and Preliminary Training Sessions (PTS). This innovative approach garnered praise from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), positioning the college as a trailblazer in evaluation methodologies.

The institution's commitment to excellence extended to its clinical training programs, with students benefiting from exposure to modern nursing practices through partnerships with prestigious healthcare institutions such as Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital and various Health Centers in Awka South LGA. This hands-on experience provided students with a competitive edge in their practical training.

As demand for enrollment surged, Millennium College of Nursing Sciences sought resource verification for its Nursing Department and full accreditation for its Midwifery Department from the NMCN. With the grace of providence, the college successfully navigated this process, resulting in an increase in quota from 75 to 120 for the Nursing Department and 100 for the Midwifery Department.

Central to this remarkable journey of success is the leadership of Mrs. Chisom C. Ezulike, whose illustrious qualifications have propelled Millennium College of Nursing Sciences to new heights. Mrs. Ezulike's credentials include a Registered Nurse (RN) certificate from Madonna University, Elele Campus, a Registered Midwife (RM) certification from the same institution, a BNSc from Madonna University, and a PGDE from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam.

Additionally, Mrs. Ezulike holds a Registered Public Health Nurse (RPN) certificate from Imo State College of Nursing, Orlu, a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Imo State University, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Midwifery and Child Health (MMCH) at the University of Port Harcourt.

Under Mrs. Chisom Ezulike's guidance, Millennium College of Nursing Sciences has not only fulfilled its mission of providing quality nursing education but has also emerged as a beacon of excellence and innovation in the field, setting a standard for future generations of nursing professionals.
