The Oyo State Government has demolished a building in Ibadan, the state capital, where Yoruba Nation agitators, led by Modupe Onitiri-Abiola, had been operating. The structure, situated on Toye Oyesola Street within the Ibadan South West Local Government Area, was razed on Wednesday, according to reports.
Additionally, in a separate
incident on Saturday morning, unidentified individuals wearing masks
infiltrated the state secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan. The intrusion prompted a
swift response from joint security forces deployed to neutralize the threat.
Subsequently, several suspects were apprehended.
When reached for comment via
telephone, CP Fatai Owoseni (retd.), the Special Adviser to the Governor on
Security Matters, acknowledged the demolition but opted not to elaborate,
suggesting contacting the Commissioner of Police for further details.
