Northern Interest: Please No More Monolithic North

By Polycarp Onwubiko

"Northern interest" has been a mantra by the Northern Muslims to hide their devastating and self-serving calculations and agenda against the corporate interest of the southern part of the country in particular and the entire country in general.

Only the unwary are being deceived because there is no more "Monolithic North" whereby the "Caliphate Colonialists and Northern Political Emirates Establishment" use the middle belt ethnic groups to actualize their selfish calculations to achieve the ISLAMIZATION AGENDA.

In the course of time, the middle belt ethnic groups having realized that they were being used to achieve their selfish calculations while not regarding their welfare like stopping the terrorists masquerading as herdsmen imported from the Sahel region of West Africa who are on ethnic cleansing mission and mindlessly slaughtering them to colonize their ancestral homelands, distanced themselves from the "Monolithic North".

They have decided to end the years of brazen exploitation by the "Caliphate Colonialists and Northern Political Emirates Establishment" who, from Independence had been using them as slaves and beef up the votes in the National Assembly at the expense and detriment of the southern part of the country.

Upon the rejection of the middle belt ethnic groups from their selfish calculations and ISLAMIZATION AGENDA, the Caliphate Colonialists will always mouth "Interest of the North" in agitating for ethnic balancing in the distribution of the Commonwealth. They brazenly bastardized the principles of Federal Character Commission in employment. In all the "juicy" MDAS, the northern Moslems populate the offices irrespective of below par academic qualifications and poor service delivery.

In the military, the northern Moslems pampered the terrorists and Boko Haram who allegedly "surrendered" after slaughtering people and "rehabilitated and reintegrated" into the society and army irrespective of the principles of Federal Character Commission. Who is fooling whom?

The CBN and FAAN organizational plan to decentralize some of their departments to Lagos and other states, was stridently kicked against by the Caliphate Colonialists in the usual mantra of "Not in the interest of the North". That is outright rubbish. That age long sense of entitlement must not be allowed to continue because it has had deleterious effects on other ethnic nationalities in the country. Why can't this people talk about NIGERIA INTEREST? Why "Interest of the North" always as if other ethnic nationalities are onlookers in the corporate affairs of the country?

The recent issue of CBN and FAAN succinctly proved that northern Moslems have no interest in Nigeria Unity, rather they are always planning for the pipe dream of ISLAMIZATION AGENDA. Boko Haram insurgents would have been vanquished many years ago when an Army General of Igbo extraction, had mobilized troops to crush the religious Jihadists but the leadership of the northern Moslems allegedly protested saying that Boko Haram are "our children" and before you know it, General Ihejirika was retired and the religious Jihadists rejigged and festered.

The next horrible development Nigeria people heard was "surrendered Boko Haram, rehabilitation and reintegration" cum herding into the army. In the deception, the Boko Haram insurgents which spread to North West and middle belt states were described as “criminals and bandits cum kidnappers". Who is fooling whom; it is the same agenda for ISLAMIZATION.

To say that Nigeria is waging religious war, is merely stating the obvious; there is no pretences about it because the Plateau massacre has depicted in bold relief that it is a religious agenda. There was no clash between farmers and pastoralists to warrant night raid on the sleeping people even on the Christmas eve and mindlessly slaughtering people while the occupants of Aso Rock, true to type, was cast in the mould of the brazen dictator that handed over to him.
