The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has embarked on what critics deem a "wild goose chase" with his initiation of an idea termed "Peace Initiative in South East Project (PISE-P)."
His advocacy for a centralized
security architecture, in line with the APC's philosophy, has raised concerns
about the neglect of multi-level policing, a characteristic of well-structured
federations worldwide. This stance, perceived as aligning with the hegemonic
caliphate's agenda for Islamization, is criticized as akin to a cult oath
subscribed to by every member of the political party, regardless of their
geopolitical zone.
Benjamin Kalu's emphasis on
centralized security architecture in a heterogeneous society like the Southeast
is viewed as unexpected and disappointing, as critics argue that the region
requires multi-level policing to effectively address pervasive and intractable
insecurity. The assertion concludes with a critical view of Igbo members in the
APC, labeling them as "shameless sellouts."
Terrorists'
Audacious Attacks on Christian Communities Expose Federal Government Complicity
Hear the lamentations of Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, expressed on Channels Television on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, in response to the horrendous atrocities and mindless slaughtering of people in the state. The news, as reported by Lunch newspaper on December 26, 2023, was captioned "Outrage as Plateau massacre claims 150, over 10,000 displaced."
"Under the last regime, the prevailing sentiment among the people in Plateau State, especially the victims of these terrorist attacks, is that it appears the terrorists were given official government backing to terrorize them, as little or nothing was done to repel these attacks.
"I can tell you these schools that are being occupied didn't just start now; some of those schools have been occupied in the last three, four, five years ago. Children in these schools have not been able to go to school. They have had to relocate. Public healthcare centers have been abandoned because of these terrorists.
QUESTIONS FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO PROVIDE IMMEDIATE RESPONSE:
(1) Who are the foreigners
occupying those schools and public healthcare centers?
(2) Are they not herdsmen
imported from the Sahel region of West Africa by the Buhari administration?
(3) Are the security agencies
not aware of the illegal occupants?
(4) When were the illegal
occupants legalized to stay in Nigeria?
(5) What prevents the police
and the military from attacking these terrorists and illegal occupants to drive
them back to where they came from?
Who is fooling whom in the "already expired Nigeria"? As usual, there has been a deluge of sympathetic condolences from northern politicians, traditional chieftains, and the Northern Governors Forum, but none have advocated for multi-level policing, characteristic of sane and sanitized federations, as a pragmatic remedy for the serial, audacious, heinous massacre of Christians by the Islamic terrorists.
WHO IS FOOLING WHOM?
Inspector
General Of Police Description Of Terrorists As Criminals: Shocking Indeed
Visiting the theaters of the
monstrous massacre and carnage by the Islamic terrorists masquerading as
herdsmen on the overt mission of serial ethnic cleansing in Plateau State, the
Inspector General of Police, Kayode Agbotekun, brazenly described the Islamic
militia terrorists as "criminals and gunmen"! Can you imagine such
callousness?
Also, to justify his attachment
to the APC, whose core leadership is complicit in the Islamization agenda, the
Governor of Plateau State, Mutfwang, echoed the same sentiment that the Islamic
militia and terrorists are "criminals and gunmen." While the governor
was in the hospital to see the victims of the genocidal gambit, he was seen
smiling; can you imagine such callousness and inanity?
Of course, let Nigerians
acknowledge the fact that President Tinubu is unlikely to heed the nationwide
clarion calls for multi-level policing, characteristic of a federal system of
government, which remains the effective platform for complete security
throughout the country. He is unlikely to sing a different tune from the Buhari
administration on restructuring the lopsided federation with decentralized
security architecture as an integral part.
All his posturing about his
so-called "renewed hope" will eventually become hollow and empty pontification
in governance. He can't implement the Steve Orosaye Committee report on the
rationalization of MDAs because his sole aim for acquiring power is
"emilokan." Nigeria is still on the destructive path of stoney
Golgotha.
