Woman Apologizes After Alleged Demon Manifestation During Church Deliverance (Video)

Josephine Okpala, identified as the woman in a viral video accusing her aunt, Mrs. Philomena Okpala, of various wrongdoings during a church deliverance session, has issued an apology.

In the widely circulated video, Josephine, seemingly under the influence of anointing, made serious allegations against her aunt, blaming her for her son's death, hindering her and her sisters' marriages, and causing her eldest brother's financial struggles.

The accusations not only stirred controversy on social media but also led to family discord, prompting the community's traditional ruler to establish a panel to investigate the matter.

Josephine, who hails from Akwaeze community in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, later acknowledged her error and expressed remorse for her unfounded accusations. In a subsequent viral video, she admitted that she didn't understand what led her to make those statements against her aunt during the deliverance session.

Denouncing and retracting all her accusations, Josephine apologized to Mrs. Philomena and anyone affected by her words, appealing for forgiveness. She urged her family members to foster unity and love, preventing long-term disunity and animosity.

Rev. Chika Emmanuel, the Founder of Divine Church Inc., where the deliverance occurred, asserted that Josephine spoke under the influence of a demon during the session. He explained that the demon possessed and spoke through her, urging the public to disregard the video content.

Reacting to the incident, the Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Ify Obinabo, urged forgiveness within the Okpala Family. The Commissioner, responding to the matter following the community panel's creation, cautioned against false accusations that could perpetuate family disunity and societal discord. She appealed to all parties involved to temper justice with mercy and forgive Josephine.

Commissioner Obinabo, through the Ministry's Public Relations Officer, Chidinma Ikeanyionwu, warned Josephine against making unconfirmed accusations, emphasizing that repeated offenses could lead to legal consequences.
