A Texas babysitter is accused of raping a 13-year-old boy as her own son slept nearby.
Charlene Kornegay, 41, allegedly ordered the
victim to endure the horrific abuse “like a man” and threatened to hack off his
penis.
The sick attack took place in July 2021 but
the suspect was only charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child this
week.
An affidavit of probable cause obtained by
station ABC 13 indicates the boy was interviewed by a therapist about his
traumatic experience in March 2022.
The young teen recounted that he was in the
Houston woman’s care on July 11, 2021, when she ordered him to put on a bra,
dress, and high heels after he got out of the shower in her condominium.
The boy said the sitter then stripped off the
clothes and had sex with him in her own son’s bedroom as he lay asleep.
The assailant allegedly applied lotion “on
his ‘pee pee’” and performed oral sex on him, according to a court document.
During a forensic interview last year, the
boy claimed when he asked Kornegay to stop, she cruelly shot back: “Shut up and
take it like a man.”
After he told the assailant to stop a second
time as she was performing a sex act on him in the bathtub, he said she finally
complied.
But Kornegay then allegedly held a knife to
the boy’s penis and threatened to cut it off if he told anyone about what
happened.
Ignoring the threat, the youngster confided
in his father about the alleged assault.
The victim’s dad told authorities when his
son told him about the shocking abuse, he initially “couldn’t believe it,” but
was convinced after the 13-year-old revealed graphic details of the encounter.
The dad said he knew Kornegay had a son of
her own, and that she told him she wanted his boy to “stay over and play video
games.”
At the time of the incident, the sitter was
serving a deferred sentence for possession of methamphetamine conviction.
Her rap sheet also includes theft and
insurance fraud charges.
Law enforcement officials are currently
searching for the twisted babysitter.
