Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, recently visited the Anambra State Chairman of All Progressive
s Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, at his office in Awka.Speaking during the visit,
Mefor, accompanied by his townsman, Engr. Obi Anyaegbu commended the chairman
for his role in ensuring that the party keeps progressing in the state,
pointing out that APGA is the first progressive and most prosperous party in
the state.
He expressed his loyalty to the
party leadership. He assured that he will work with other party stakeholders to
ensure APGA's victory in the forthcoming guber election, particularly in
Idemili North LGA where the Commissioner
hails from.
According to him, Governor
Chukwuma Charles Soludo's achievements and numerous legacy projects have made
it easier for the party to sweep the pools in the November 8 Gubernatorial
Election.
"My office as the
Commissioner for Information has given me a kind opportunity to understand and
appreciate the sterling achievements of the Solution Government, led by Prof
Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR. Sometimes, it is impossible to believe that one
man could do all Soludo has done in just three years without borrowing a Kobo.
Some governors didn't do this much in even eight years.
"I thank God that it is
happening because it makes your job easier. You don't need to tell lies. You
don't need propaganda. All you need is just to present the facts for all to
see. Facts they say speak for itself," he said.
In his response, APGA State
Chairman, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, stressed the need for all party stakeholders
in Idemili to come together and unite the people, pointing out that APGA is one
big family.
He observed that he, the
Secretary to the State Government, the Commissioner for Works, and the
Information Commissioner are from Idemili North LGA, and appreciated Mefor for
remaining his true self despite his new position.
He prayed that others in
exalted positions would continue to let their values and principles be their
guide in all situations to make things better.
