I Possess Street Intelligence Required To Address Insecurity In Anambra - Ukachukwu

The frontline aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming Anambra 2025 Governorship Election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has vowed to develop a homegrown solution to address the rising insecurity in Anambra State if elected governor.

Prince Ukachukwu, a renowned philanthropist, made this vow during a conversation with newsmen in Osumenyi, Nnewi South Council Area of the state, while reacting to the numerous cases of kidnapping, killings, and other heinous crimes in the region.

Ukachukwu maintained that the situation has escalated because the current leadership in the state is not attuned to the realities of local governance and has only proposed solutions that are alien to the problems at hand.

The business mogul stated that with the gift of emotional intelligence and street credibility that God has blessed him with, and by harnessing the collaborative efforts of security institutions and agencies, he will be able to provide workable solutions that will permanently reduce incidents of crime in the state.

He noted that matters of security are very sensitive and require a high level of confidentiality; however, he emphasized that non-kinetic approaches will form the bulk of the comprehensive package he will implement if elected to address the insecurity situation.

According to him, providing numerous avenues for positive engagement of youths, which his administration will focus on, will significantly reduce the number of errant youths who resort to criminality.

“It is essential for Ndi Anambra to understand what we are facing, which I attribute to the sustained neglect of young people by successive governments.

“Many youths have found vocations in all kinds of crimes, making substantial amounts of money.

“We must discourage this not only by being decisive in dealing with criminals when caught to diminish the allure of crime but also by opening avenues for gainful opportunities for young people,” he noted.

Ukachukwu, who prides himself as a "street general," expressed confidence that he understands how to generate wealth and deploy it to impact lives. He added that with his expertise in various kinds of businesses and his extensive contacts, he will leverage state resources to attract investments that will create jobs and wealth opportunities for the populace.

The astute politician promised to harness collaborative efforts from security institutions and agencies, both locally and nationally, to combat insecurity on a kinetic level.

He also vowed to establish a mentorship and adoption model for nurturing businesses owned by young entrepreneurs across the state.

“Under this initiative, we will see accomplished business leaders mentor and adopt young entrepreneurs who are just starting out, providing them with support and other necessary assistance.

“This will be similar to the Apprenticeship Business Model but will be unique in that the processes are properly streamlined,” he said.

The business mogul noted that as Igbos, “Our people must return to a communal system of living where everyone supports each other’s growth.”

According to him, the widening gap between the rich and poor remains a driving force behind various crimes in the region.

“If you observe closely, you will notice that those being kidnapped are often perceived as wealthy. The reason is that criminals feel they need to steal from them to elevate their status.

“What if we begin to create a system where the wealthy support the growth of the poor—financially, educationally, or through other means?

“As a street general, I understand the language of the street and will definitely respond if elected governor,” Ukachukwu enthused.
