In a passionate drive to promote digital entrepreneurship and encourage productivity and accountability, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Anambra North Zone, has unveiled its latest web app, GOTRUHUB, developed by digital entrepreneur Hon. Abuchi Nduba.
The launch event took place at
the Oyi Council Headquarters in Nteje, with stakeholders and coordinators from
the seven local government areas of the zone in attendance.
Welcoming the guests, Anambra
North NYCN Zonal Chairman, Comr. Peter Nnekwe, expressed appreciation to the
Oyi Council Mayor and other notable stakeholders for their presence. He stated
that the National Youth Council of Nigeria serves as a crucible for molding
responsible youths for the nation's growth. He appealed to the government to
support the youth in their various ventures, emphasizing that collective
efforts are needed to guide youths in building a greater nation.
Mr. Abuchi Nduba, the app's
developer and former Ayamelum NYCN Coordinator, explained that the primary
objective behind the invention is to ensure the safety of school children,
particularly in preventing child abuse and trafficking. The app also aims to
streamline the management of students' records, performance, and needs through
its integrated wallet feature. Additionally, government entities,
entrepreneurs, and private business owners can utilize the app to monitor
employee efficiency, promoting consistency, transparency, and accountability.
While unveiling the GOTRUHUB
app, NYCN Deputy President Amb. Innocent Nduanya praised Mr. Nduba for the
innovation. He highlighted the importance of adopting the app to enhance the
well-being of every community in the zone and urged leaders to focus on their
primary responsibilities.
Representing the Oyi Council
Mayor, Deputy Chief Austin Nwofia commended the youth for their initiative. He
reassured the leadership of Oyi and Anambra North NYCN that the programs and
policies under Hon. Emma Nweke’s administration are designed to benefit youths
in the Oyi Local Government Area. He urged youth leaders to leave a legacy of
impactful service and affirmed the administration's commitment to improving the
living standards of youths in Oyi. He also announced the council’s readiness to
partner with Mr. Udoka's tech company to combat crime and unemployment,
emphasizing that youth welfare remains a top priority.
The State Chairman of the
National Youth Council of Nigeria, Surveyor Emeka Obi, commended Zonal Chairman
Comr. Peter Nnekwe for hosting the event and praised Mr. Nduba for his
innovation. He expressed his commitment to personally subscribing to the app
and noted its potential to enhance work efficiency in the public sector. He
called for collective support to help the app gain global recognition.
In their separate remarks,
Anambra North ASATU Governor Hon. Enebeli Udowu, Anambra Commissioner for
Petroleum and Mineral Resources (represented by Administrative Assistant Mr.
Nbadiwe Anthony), and Hon. Bernard Udemezue, a member representing Ayamelum
Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, lauded the Anambra North
NYCN leadership for facilitating the program. They congratulated Mr. Nduba on
his groundbreaking initiative.
They also urged the youths to
embrace creativity and steer clear of crime. Additionally, they called on
stakeholders and the government to invest more in the youth to encourage them
to develop value-oriented and solution-based products and services, benefiting
the community, state, and nation at large.
