Dynamo Group Set To Mitigate Hunger, Launches Operation Agriculture By Force In Nigeria

By Ndife David, Awka

In a bold initiative to combat poverty and alleviate hunger amid Nigeria's economic challenges, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dynamo Group of Companies, Hon. Aneto Samuel Onyema, has officially launched the "Operation Agriculture By Force" program in Awka.

The ceremony, which drew government officials, business associates, educators, stakeholders, friends, and well-wishers, was held at the Dynamo Group Corporate Headquarters, known as the Dynamo Group Cerebellum, located behind the Government House in Awka, Anambra State.

Speaking at the launch, Hon. Onyema expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries and guests for their presence, emphasizing that their support was crucial to the program's success in Anambra. He noted that the mission of "Dynamo Operation Agriculture By Force" extends far beyond its surface goals, and highlighted that one of the best gifts one can offer is the opportunity for growth.

Hon. Onyema underscored the importance of owning arable land for both residential and agricultural purposes. He pointed out that coconut oil, one of the most sought-after products, is highly profitable, and noted that the coconut species cultivated by Dynamo starts fruiting at 18 months, with each tree yielding over 200 coconuts after 24 months—planting 20 trees per plot.

According to him, Dynamo Group, as Nigeria's pioneering company in Agricultural Real Estate, has made substantial progress toward the project’s success by initiating the planting of economic trees in the Ogwuashi-Uku Dynamo Palm City Layout a week ago.

"The idea is to create a Real Estate-Agricultural mix. Our strategy is to establish a large plantation and leverage pricing to gain a competitive edge in three years. We’ve gone the extra mile to provide an additional source of income for our clients," he explained.

"Our Dynamo Operation Agriculture By Force has been one of our most appreciated and popular products. While our clients primarily see palm oil, we see raw materials for making grease, soap, glass, ropes, alcohol, vegetable oil, and more," he added.

Hon. Onyema listed several agricultural estate locations and their prices, including sites in Kuje, Abuja, Ogwuashi-Uku, Delta, and Ugbenu, Awba-Ofemili, and Mbakwu in Anambra State. He noted their passionate commitment to delivering exceptional results, creating long-term value for stakeholders, and encouraged prospective investors to seize this opportunity to improve their lives, support the state, and contribute to the nation.

The Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Youth Empowerment Programs and Convener of Youth Earnestly Seek Solution, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, alongside Barrister Chukwuebuka Igwe, a member representing Idemili South in the Anambra State House of Assembly, praised Hon. Onyema for aligning with Governor Soludo’s "farm to feed" initiative, which they noted addresses the national food crisis. They urged youths to embrace agriculture to build a stronger Anambra.

In her remarks, Professor Vivian Nwogbo, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, expressed her joy in supporting the project. She encouraged young people to pursue agricultural opportunities to help alleviate the food crisis affecting the nation and emphasized the project’s potential to boost the country's economy. She also urged stakeholders to support Dynamo Group's "Operation Agriculture By Force" initiative, which seeks to protect the environment, increase food production, reduce poverty, and combat hunger.

The MD/CEO of Jmike Homes and Property Ltd., Prince Ekene Obidinma, commended Hon. Onyema for his vision and expressed confidence that the project would thrive, yielding substantial benefits for all participants. He encouraged other stakeholders to draw inspiration from the initiative.

The event concluded with the signing of the attendance banner, entertainment, and the presentation of Malaysian hybrid palm seedlings to all attendees.
