National Union Of Electricity Employees Signs New Service Terms With Port-Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company

 
The leadership of National Union Of Electricity Employees and Management of Port-Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) had on Monday, 2nd September signed the Conditions Of Service For Employees Of the Company at the Corporate Headquarters of the Company, Moscow Road Port-Harcourt.

The event which had the Executive Management of the Company and Leadership of the Union in attendance, witnessed the official signing of the reviewed Conditions of Service and solidarity messages to Employees of the Company.

Speaking at the event, the Acting General Secretary of the Union, Comrade Dom Igwebike urged the Company Management to ensure implementation of the provisions of the document that would improve workers welfare, Job satisfaction and security for enhancement of productivity.

Also in his contribution, the National President of the Union, Comrade Engr. Biyi Adeyeye noted that the document contains rights and obligations of the workers, and called for effective Industrial relations practice in the Company, advising the management to always partner with the Union to move the Company forward.

               

The Managing Director of PHED, represented by the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) appreciated the Union Leaders for their cooperation in perfecting the document, and promised to better the staff welfare.
