Sunday Vanguard, August 18, 2024 , Kunle Oyetome in his article on the#Endbadgovernance protest captioned: "Counting our blessings from protests" created outlandish impression that farmers all over the country are now free to go to their farms and cultivate since the terrorists masquerading as herdsmen imported from the Sahel region of West Africa have been sent packs. Why all this blatant lie all in the name of being in the probably payroll of president Tinubu?
Hear him inter alia:
"The government has
deployed 10000 security operatives to protect farmers from hoodlums who invade
their lands and hinder productivity, thus denying the society from the benefits
of food production".
Comment:
Mark the word
"hoodlums"; he carefully avoided to use the appropriate expression
which is "terrorists masquerading as herdsmen, murderous pimps that have
unleashed by the "Fulani Feudal Oligarchy" to mindlessly slaughter
indigenous population and occupying their ancestral homelands while the
survived ones are languishing in makeshift refugee resettlements while the
supposed Nigerian security agents pretend that they are incapable of driving
away the foreigners out of the country.
Sorry for Nigeria. Kunle
Oyetome should please tell his brother, president Tinubu to urgently direct the
Army chief of staff and the inspector general of police to mobilize their
officers and men to chase away the foreigner herdsmen who have occupied the
ancestral homelands of people languishing in makeshift refugee resettlements,
so that they will go to their ancestral homelands and pick the pieces of their
shattered lives.
Again to demonstrate
seriousness, the federal government should start rehabilitation of the
remaining survived refugees by building houses for them and other public
institutions destroyed by the terrorists masquerading as herdsmen.
It is very shameful indeed that
the people of Okuama in Delta state who were massacred by soldiers having
levelled their houses because of the yet to be proved that the community killed
17 soldiers have not been resettled even as many of the survived ones are still
in the bushes sharing spaces with reptiles. Sorry for this apparently useless
country which cannot protect the people being slaughtered by terrorists and
military personnel on mere suspicion of the innocent people coping with the
harsh economic situation in Nigeria.
The rehabilitation of Okuama
people should not be left to the Delta state government alone because the army
personnel that wiped out the sleeping community are under the control of the
federal government. For president Tinubu to pretend that the Okuama people are
in terrific situation and also that thousands of people from the Southern
Kaduna, Plateau, Benue areas are languishing in makeshift refugee resettlements,
is very sad indeed and not expected of a president of a country in this modern
day and age.
