Popular highlife singer, Chinedu Okoli aka Flavour N’abania has spoken about his growth in the music industry.
According to him, it was not an
easy thing.
The singer shared his story
during an interview on UK’s In My Opinion podcast.
Flavour spoke about how he
started off by singing for a small crowd in the East those days and captivating
them with his sounds.
He thought to himself that he
needed to expand his audience and knowing fully well that all he needed was in
him, he quickly took a night bus to Lagos.
He recorded his first song the
next day and contacted Nigerian rapper, Mr Raw, pleading with him that he needed
a feature on his new song.
The rapper agreed and after he
added his tune to the song, he took the CD and traveled back to Enugu.
He noticed that people fell in
love with the song and printed several copies of the CDs and sold it to
everyone he could find.
Flavour also revealed that he
learnt alot about becoming an artist from Mr Raw.
