The Anagor family of Umudioka Village has announced the burial rites for the late Lady Ojieti Grace Nwanaoma Chinwe Anagor, (nee Nwakor).
Lady Anagor, aged 77, passed
away recently. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and
grandmother. The family, in announcing her burial rites, expressed gratitude
and total submission to the will of Almighty God.
Lady Anagor lived a life filled
with love, dedication, and service. As a mother and role model, she instilled
strong values in her children and grandchildren, nurturing them with wisdom and
compassion. Her home was a haven of warmth and support, where she ensured that
every member of her family felt cherished and valued. Her legacy of kindness
and resilience continues to inspire those who knew her.
Lady Anagor exemplified the
qualities of a virtuous woman. She was known for her unwavering commitment to
helping others, often going out of her way to assist those in need. Her
generosity and selflessness were evident in her numerous acts of charity and
community service. Whether providing food, clothing, or emotional support, Lady
Anagor's kindness knew no bounds. Her life was a testament to the power of
compassion and the importance of caring for one's community.
The burial arrangements are as
follows: On Thursday, 8th August 2024, a Service of Songs will be held at 4:00
PM at her husband's compound, the late Sir Ozo Chief Dr. Raphael Morah Anagu,
KSM, located at No. 9 Nweke Nwobuchi Street, Umudioka, Awka. On Friday, 9th
August 2024, the body will leave Regina Caeli Mortuary at 6:30 AM for a brief
stop at her father's compound, the late Chief Henry Nwakor, at Ogba Road,
Umuenechi Village, Agulu Awka. At 8:00 AM, there will be a lying in state at
her late husband’s compound, Umudioka, Awka.
The burial service will take
place at 10:30 AM at her late husband’s compound, followed by interment. A
reception and condolence visits will occur immediately after the interment. On
Saturday, 10th August 2024, friends and in-laws will visit to offer their
condolences. Condolence visits will continue on Sunday, 11th August 2024.
Finally, an Outing/Thanksgiving Service will be held on Sunday, 18th August
2024, at The Cathedral Church of St. Faith, Awka.
Lady Anagor was the Treasurer
of the Ojiefi Association, Umudioka Village, Awka. She was also involved in
tailoring, catering, the distribution of Coca-Cola products in Enugu, and confectionery
production.
Lady Anagor is survived by her
children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.
Her son, Barrister Nnamdi
Anagor, is the immediate past National Financial Secretary of the Nigerian Bar
Association, a former Public Relations Officer and Secretary of the Nigerian
Bar Association, Awka Branch, a former Governing Council member of the Eastern
Bar Forum (EBF), and currently a member of the General Council of the Bar.
