US Vice President, Kamala Harris Confirms Decisive Debate With Donald Trump On September 10

Harris made this known on Thursday on her X handle, stating, "It now appears he's backpedaling."

The United States' Vice President, Kamala Harris, has said that former President, Donald Trump, has agreed to participate in a debate scheduled for September 10.

Harris made this known on Thursday on her X handle, stating, "It now appears he's backpedaling."

"Voters deserve to see the contrasting perspectives that are displayed on a debate stage."

"I'm ready. So let's go."

Meanwhile, Harris earlier told reporters after arriving back in Washington, D.C., from a two-day trip to Indiana and Texas, "You have been asking me about the debate, and I'll tell you I'm ready to debate Donald Trump."

Recalled Trump and Biden initially agreed to two debates, scheduled for June 27 and September 10.

Biden's poor performance in the June debate led to increasing pressure from Democrats for him to withdraw as the nominee, which he did on Sunday.

Harris has gained enough delegate support to become the probable Democratic nominee.

The Democratic convention is set to occur from August 19-22 in Chicago.
