The Soludo Volunteer Force (SVF), a newly formed political support group, has reiterated its unwavering commitment to the reelection campaign of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for the 2025 Anambra gubernatorial election. The group, led by its National Convener, Hon. Engr. Ozoemena Mike (Nzeakonobi), reaffirmed this stance during a strategic state executive meeting held at Ozoemena's residence in Umuzocha, Awka South Council Area.
In his
welcome address, Ozoemena, who also serves as the Managing Director of the
Anambra State Waste Management Agency (ASWAMA), expressed gratitude to the executives
for their attendance despite the challenges of time and distance. He emphasized
that the group's unity is founded on Governor Soludo's remarkable track record,
which justifies the call for his second term.
Ozoemena
outlined the primary objectives of SVF: to enhance good governance, promote
accountability and transparency, and support a leader who exemplifies selfless
service and dedication to the people of Anambra. He noted that Governor
Soludo's leadership qualities have significantly impacted his personal life,
motivating him to fully support Soludo's administration and reelection efforts.
The
Convener also commended the women for their strong presence at the meeting,
highlighting their recent gathering with the Governor's wife, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo,
at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre. Ozoemena pledged
unwavering support for the women to ensure they function effectively and urged
the executive members to continue backing Governor Soludo's vision for a second
term.
Dr.
Ebele Chibeze Chukwuka, the Deputy National Coordinator, lauded the executives
for their passion and dedication. He stressed the need for patience,
perseverance, unity, and support among members to achieve the group's goal of
promoting good governance at the grassroots level. Chukwuka affirmed SVF's
capability to overcome challenges and succeed in securing Soludo's reelection
in 2025.
Hon.
Amaka Egobekee, the National Woman Leader, praised the Convener and his Deputy
for their dedication in organizing and strengthening the group. She emphasized
the crucial role of women in advancing the group's agenda across all 21 local
government areas. Despite the personal loss of her sister, Egobekee reaffirmed
her commitment to her duties and highlighted the importance of unity within the
National Working Council.
The
meeting also included speeches from key figures such as Engr. Azubuike Umeh,
National Organizing Secretary and Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on
Project Monitoring, and Hon. Rabbi Aliyah, Aguata Local Government Coordinator
and Chairman of all chairmen. Both emphasized the importance of volunteerism
and collaboration between executives and members to ensure Soludo's successful
reelection.
The SVF
Secretary General, Hon. Solomon Onwusika, Welfare Director, Comrade Nweke
Ugochukwu, and National Media Director, Comrade Icheku Anthony Chiedra, assured
their continued commitment and support. They underscored the importance of
every volunteer becoming a bonafide member of the ruling party to form a united
front for the tasks ahead.
The
meeting concluded with voluntary donations to support the women's initiatives.
