The Executive of Nsugbe Youth Assembly, led by President Engr. Obiudu Chidi (PHF), has moved to collaborate with the newly appointed Institutional Consultant for the third tier of government across the federation, who also doubles as the Chairman of Tax Payers Assets of Nigeria (TAXPAN), Senator Alphonsus Ubanese Igbeke, to promote youth development and engage in life-transforming programs in the community.
The call for the partnership
ensued when the group paid a courtesy visit to the first indigenous Anambra
East Senator at his country home in Nsugbe.
Speaking during the visit, the
President General of Nsugbe Youth Assembly, who also serves as the Anambra
East, Anambra State Association of Town Union (ASATU) Mayor, Engr. Obiudu
Chidi, congratulated Senator Ubanese on his recent appointment as the
Institutional Consultant for the third tier of government across the
federation.
He described Senator Ubanese as
a trailblazer and true leader whose active roles and relentless efforts in
contributing to the political history of the community have aroused great
interest among the people. He expressed profound admiration for his personality
and great vision for the community, noting that his legacy and achievements
should be celebrated and appreciated.
According to him, with the
emergence of notable personalities like Senator Igbeke, the Nsugbe people are
hopeful of witnessing not only effective representation and legislation at the
Red Chambers of the National Assembly but also positive, impactful, and
life-transforming projects in their community.
He emphasized that the motive
behind the visit was to interface with the Senator and synergize to foster more
proactive ways to promote unity, peace, and progress in the entire community.
Engr. Chidi pointed out that under
his leadership, NYA has recorded significant progress and successes in many
areas of engagement in the community and went further to present the group's
agenda for the second phase of their tenure to the Senator.
Responding, Senator Alphonsus
Ubanese Igbeke expressed his heartfelt satisfaction with the visit, noting his
delight in the change in the system of governance both at the community level
and the state in general.
He stressed the need for more
commitment by relevant stakeholders in the Nsugbe community to pursue peace and
promote unity, which will, in turn, ensure rapid growth and progress. He noted
that these measures are good drivers of development in any community.
While assuring the group of his
unwavering commitment and support to enable them to deliver their mandate of
developing the youth, raising the standard of living of the people, and
revitalizing the entire community, Senator Igbeke further advised the NYA
executives to work in love and understanding in order to actualize their goals.
