Newborn Baby's Body Dumped at Arroma Junction, Awka

By Emeka Chiaghanam

The body of a newborn baby was found this afternoon at Aroma Junction Extension, between the NIPPCO Filling Station and the revamped Anambra State Water Corporation facility, Awka, Anambra State.

The infant's body, wrapped in old clothes, was discovered with a Sacko bag nearby, which is believed to have been used to carry the corpse.

A commercial tricycle operator, picking up passengers near the scene, nearly ran over the body, apparently unaware of its presence.

Passersby expressed shock and disgust at the incident, condemning the act as sheer wickedness. Many speculated that the act was likely carried out by the mother who didn't want the baby.
