Presidents' Greedy Grab For Petroleum Minister In Nigeria

By Polycarp Onwubiko

The  NEW TELEGRAM EDITORIAL, May, 30, 2024 boldly with intrepidity condemned the disingenuous practice of presidents namely: Obasanjo, Buhari, and Tinubu (for only God knows why) feverishly clutching between their legs the Ministry of petroleum resources.

In all the oil and gas producing (OPEC) countries, please let the enlightenment Nigerians tell us where their presidents (whose hands are usually very full with daily mails from their country and other countries and world bodies, meetings with the Ministers, foreign diplomatic delegates issues with foreign missions, perusing office Files and giving directives in the Files, visits to critical places especially where Islamic Terrorists masquerading as herdsmen rapine, kidnapping, etc) have the time to oversee the humongous Ministry such as the Ministry of petroleum resources?

In fact, for one (definitely out of exasperation with the "expired” Nigeria,) to say that some Nigerian are battling with ferocious demons from the pit of hell, might be saying the obvious.

Hear the New Telegraph point-blank assertion, lambasting the ugly and devious practice of Nigerian presidents holding the office of the Petroleum resources Ministry:

"The president has enough jobs facing him. Perhaps, the time has come to assign Petroleum to a substantive minister. There are three more years ahead, Tinubu can move from hope lost, to Hope Restored".

***My comment?

Sorry for Nigeria! May the good Lord have mercy on Nigerians and send Angel from the Throne of Grace to rescue the country on a Russian Roller coaster, and also from the brinks of the Stony Golgotha.
