President Tinubu's Pretence On The Actual Cause Of Food Crises Leading To Demonstration

By Polycarp Onwubiko

Setting aside political party affiliations, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a prominent figure in the APC, has forthrightly identified the core and immediate factor behind Nigeria's current food crises.

His assessment, resonating beyond partisan lines, highlights the profound impact leading to widespread hunger and malnutrition, prompting nationwide demonstrations.

Concurrently, the Nigeria Labour Congress has issued a call for Nigerians and workers to unite in protest, condemning what they perceive as a consistent pattern of deception within the Tinubu administration across various governance sectors. Despite these mounting concerns, it remains a stark reality that Tinubu's administration appears entangled in pretense, particularly regarding the true causes of food inflation, crises, and hunger that continue to afflict the entire nation.

Hear him:

"Where do we get the food to eat when most of the farmers both in the north and southern sections of the country particularly those in the north central are now in the Internally Displaced refugee camps leaving their farms in the hands of herders (terrorists masquerading as herdsmen from the Sahel region of West Africa on ethnic cleansing and territorial expansion encouraged by Buhari administration.

While president Tinubu apparently regards it as no problem and reluctant to drive the terrorists away back to the Sahel region from where they came from) and we are busy fooling ourselves that we don't have enough food to feed the populace.

"What part of the country is safe or secure for normal farming activities to take place? This is the reality. Our problem is human-induced yet we are expecting God to send us mana from Heaven as he did to the people of Israel who had no means of farming at the period God sent mana to them"------Dailypost , February 27, 2024.

This APC chieftain needs an Award for his frank and forthright condemnation of the brazen faced hypocrisy of president Tinubu whose first expected duty when he mounted the saddle of power was to, as president and Commander in chief of the Army, order the driving away of the terrorists masquerading as herdsmen from the Sahel region of West Africa to go back from wherever they migrated into Nigeria so that the survivors of the mindless slaughtering by the goons pretending to be herders will leave the refugee camps and go back to their ancestral homelands and pick the pieces of their shattered livelihood.

It was only the presidential candidate of Labour party, Peter Obi that pointedly declared during his election campaign that he would immediately sack the terrorists masquerading as herdsmen occupying the communities while the owners of the Homelands are languishing and dying in droves in the refugee resettlements even as the country is not at war with neighbouring countries. But Tinubu and Atiku never spoke about the serious issue of life and death of Nigerians whose lives were and still endangered by the terrorists masquerading as herdsmen who have virtually occupied all the Forests in the country preparatory for the Fulani feudal oligarchy's dream Islamization agenda.

If Tinubu is really serious and prepared for governance and end food crises and further demonstration, he should order the military and security agencies to drive away the terrorists masquerading as herdsmen occupying the communities in southern Kaduna, Plateau State and middle belt states. But it is unlikely that he would do it because of the support "understanding" with the Fulani feudal oligarchy which had boasted that they installed him in the Aso Villa Abuja. The loquacious former Governor of Kaduna state, El Rufai was reported to have said that and has never denied the horrendous boasting.
