The initiative, a result of the ANSIEC Stakeholders Sensitization Town Hall Meeting on Environmental Cleanliness and Proper Waste Management Practices, saw the enforcement team embark on a campaign for massive desilting of debris in drainage systems and evacuation of subsequent waste to ROBAN business district and Nkwo-Amenyi, respectively.

During the exercise, Transition Committee Chairman of Awka South Local Government Area, Hon. ThankGod Anagor, represented by the Commander of the Dobe Awka Ocha Enforcement Team, Prince Ikechukwu H. Anagor emphasized the importance of maintaining clean drainages and environments, urging collective efforts towards Governor Soludo's vision of a cleaner and healthier environment.

The initiative aims not only to compel residents and business owners to take responsibility for cleanliness but also to encourage it as a regular culture. Anagor commended transport service providers and residents at Arroma for their active participation and assured them of support. He urged chairpersons to improve waste management practices to safeguard public health and enhance the city's aesthetics.

Managers of Star Sunny Motors, Awka Branch, and Ekwulobia Urban Mass Transit (EUMT) reaffirmed their support for Governor Soludo's administration and highlighted the positive impact of a clean environment on businesses. They commended the efforts of the government team and pledged continuous support.

Addressing challenges posed by natural elements and individuals' attitudes, the head of the bus stations emphasized the importance of sustainable waste management practices. Managers of TRACAS Motors, Aroma Branch, and LASS Beejoy Restaurant and Bar praised the government's initiatives and committed to supporting efforts towards a clean and prosperous environment.
