Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife, Director-General of
the South East Governors’ Forum, has once again demonstrated her commitment to
community development and spiritual upliftment by donating a 14-seater bus to
the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Nri, in
Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Fulfilling a promise she made following the 2023
general elections, Senator Ekwunife personally delivered the brand-new,
multi-million-naira vehicle to ease transportation challenges faced by the church.
The donation aims to enhance the outreach and evangelism efforts of the CWO,
enabling the group to spread the gospel more effectively and draw more souls to
God.
This philanthropic gesture underscores Senator
Ekwunife’s recognition of the vital role the Catholic Women Organization plays
in promoting spiritual growth, community development, and social cohesion.
The vehicle was officially presented to the CWO
President, Ezinne Mrs. Anthonia Onuorah, shortly after a special Mass
celebrated by Rev. Fr. Prof. Clement Ezeka. In his remarks, the Reverend
offered heartfelt prayers for Senator Ekwunife and other national leaders,
acknowledging their roles in fostering peace and economic stability across
Nigeria.
Addressing the congregation, Senator Ekwunife called on Christians across the nation to continually pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other government leaders. She emphasized that responsible, effective leadership is key to national prosperity
This act of kindness sets Senator Ekwunife apart,
reflecting a brand of leadership rooted not in politics alone but in a
deep-seated commitment to faith, service, and humanity.
