Lady Stabs Boyfriend To Death In Rivers

In a tragic incident on Friday, a yet-to-be-identified woman reportedly stabbed her boyfriend, known as Tony, to death during a heated altercation in an estate along the NTA/Apara link road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to reports, the couple engaged in a dispute that escalated to physical violence, with Tony allegedly assaulting the woman. In an attempt to defend herself, the girlfriend reportedly stabbed Tony in the neck.

Despite the severe injury, the altercation continued, and the couple dragged themselves into the street. Tony eventually collapsed due to excessive bleeding from the stab wound. When sympathizers rushed him to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

Notably, Tony, married to another woman, had reportedly left his wife in Enugu following a fallout to live with the girlfriend who eventually took his life.

A source familiar with the incident stated, “Tony and his girlfriend had an argument that fateful night, resulting in a fight. There are reports that Tony had been assaulting the lady for some time, and this time around, I think, in an attempt to defend herself, the lady stabbed him in the neck."

The Rivers Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, stating, “The suspect is in police custody and is currently undergoing investigation. She will be prosecuted as soon as the investigation is concluded.”
