International security monitors have indicated that the Fulani herders are the fourth most deadly terror group in the world. Sadly, Nigeria's leaders at Aso Rock have respectively ignored the dire warnings and forebodings, ostensibly to pander to the bloodthirsty proclivity of a phalanx that stridently opposes decentralized security architecture, which is an integral part of restructuring the lopsided federation.
The counterpoise to the serial,
heinous gambits of the armed pastoralist invaders, ethnic/religious militias,
and, by all coloration, terrorists masquerading as herders imported from the
Sahel region of West Africa, is multi-level policing characteristic of sane and
sanitized developed countries of the world, especially federations worldwide.
The pith and marrow of the mindless massacre and slaughtering of Christians in
Nigeria are furthering the frontier of Fulani expansionist tendencies.
The Buhari administration was
lukewarm in curtailing the monsters, and the security agencies, incensed at the
crass impunity of the Fulani herders' rapine, felt helpless since the ultimate
order to act to defend the victims resides in Aso Rock. "Emilokan"
has grabbed power, courtesy of the mantra "Power is not served a la carte,
grab it, run with the ballot boxes, kill, prevent opposition voters from
exercising their franchise, cage the security agents with mouth-watering bags
of money, ask the "priests in the temple of justice" how much money
do you want to give me judgment and say 'carry go o.'
Can he take a patriotic bold
step to face the stark reality of convening a national conference of ethnic
nationalities to fashion realistic principles of a federal system of government
to reinvent Nigeria to join the league of developed countries worldwide? Of
course not! Where is Nigeria headed? Of course, towards the stony Golgotha.
