Insecurity In The South East And The So-Called "PISE-P" Initiative By Deputy Speaker, House Of Representatives

 By Polycarp Onwubiko

Apologies to Southerners, especially the Igbo people in the National Assembly, regarding the fundamental interests of the people. In a Vanguard article dated November 20, 2023, titled "Insecurity in South East and the IPSE-P solution" by Levinus Nwabuogu, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, an Igbo man, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has purportedly initiated a 'wonderful' solution to the pervasive and intractable insecurity in the South East Geopolitical zone.

He named his initiative "PISE-P," meaning "Peace in the South East Project." According to Nwabughiogu, Kalu opted for a "non-kinetic" measure as a comprehensive, pragmatic roadmap for peace to return to his geopolitical zone. He stated, "PISE-P was initiated by the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu and endorsed by all the Members of the National Assembly from the South East region.

"The thrust of the project is to birth an ideological framework that will ultimately combat the hydra-headed monster of insecurity and the sit-at-home conundrum."

Comment: Igbo people should show sympathy with the initiator of this outright craziness and rubbish. Of course, they cannot be blamed because they aligned with the "Caliphate Colonialists" political party, APC, which vehemently opposed the restructuring of the dysfunctional Unitary-Federal contraption imposed on Nigeria by the military regime they led. The Caliphate Colonialists and Cabalist hegemonists know what they are doing; they understand that restructuring governance to restore realistic principles of a federal system of government will coincide with a decentralized security architecture, which would thwart their Islamisation agenda.

They prefer the dysfunctional centralized security architecture (with them occupying top positions and providing foot soldiers for the Islamisation agenda - AK 47-wielding terrorists masquerading as herdsmen imported from the Sahel region of West Africa now occupying the ancestral lands of people in southern Kaduna and middle belt states). The surviving ones are languishing and dying in droves in makeshift refugee resettlements, and all the while, the Caliphate Colonialists want to allow the herdsmen unhindered access to all the forests in Nigeria and nooks and crannies of the country, preparing for the Islamisation agenda.

Sensible-minded southerners have been calling for the restructuring of the lopsided federation to restore True Fiscal Federalism with a decentralized security architecture as an integral part. Unfortunately, for the sake of material gains through sensitive political appointments, most southerners have sold out, enticed by the "mess of porridge" doled out to them by the Caliphate Colonialists who claim to "own" Nigeria. Buhari threw the northern borders open for the infiltration of the Fulani tribe, allegedly promising to give them lands for settlements.

The lands were to be obtained through mindless slaughtering by AK 47-wielding herdsmen terrorizing southern Kaduna and middle belt states, taking physical occupation of the 'vacated' vast expanse of lands. While the surviving ones ran out of their ancestral lands and found refuge in makeshift refugee resettlements, the Buhari administration did not see the tragedy as worthy of attention.

The writer of that article indicated that the launching of PISE-P will take place in Bende local government area with all the South East members of the House of Representatives in attendance. How NAIVETY has taken hold of these Igbo representatives in the National Assembly! They should stop that nonsense and join hands with responsible Southerners to compel the Tinubu administration to immediately kick-start the convocation of a National Dialogue (call it a National Confab) to brainstorm on how Nigerians will reinvent the already destroyed country and fashion a PEOPLE'S CONSTITUTION similar to the 1960/1963 Federal Constitution, possibly with the six geopolitical zones as the new Regional Governments.

It is outright stupidity on the part of the authors of the supposed "PISE-P" to dwell in the illusion of restoring security in the South East region instead of joining the nationwide clarion calls for a decentralized security architecture, the only panacea for effective and efficient security in all parts of the country. Igbos who voted for APC have seen how they have sold their birthright to the ultra-conservative forces with no credible development agenda for the country except the Islamisation agenda. To expect Tinubu to deviate significantly from the ultra-conservatism agenda of his predecessor is living in a fool’s paradise.
