The feud between top Nigerian comedians AY Makun and Basketmouth has taken a different turn as their Colleague, Julius Agwu, dropped his two cents on the matter.
Recall, in an interview, AY said his
years-long rift with Basketmouth started over a sum of N30,000 he is yet to
receive for a show he anchored for him.
Reacting to AY’s comment, Basketmouth in a
viral podcast, described his colleague’s account of the incident as “lies”.
Julius Agwu, in a recent chat with Naija FM,
was asked to say a few words about what is transpiring between his colleagues
regarding the 30k saga.
The comedian said there is more to their
feud, and reiterated that his colleagues had not told the whole story.
Speaking on his relationship with Ay, Julius
Agwu recalled putting a call through to him, asking him to refix his yearly
Easter Sunday comedy show that equally falls on the same day as his.
According to him, Ay bluntly refused and hung
the phone on him.
His words;
“I called AY, he cut phone for my neck”
He claimed he started hosting his show on
Easter Sundays, way before AY began his yearly shows.
