The Founder and General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, has revealed the reason why an inferno destroyed his church auditorium in Warri, Delta State on Tuesday. The fire reportedly caused massive destruction to properties worth a fortune in the expansive campground.
In a video
clip on his official Facebook page, Prophet Fufeyin disclosed that the fire
incident was nothing but the fiery anger of God. According to the Ijaw-born
seer, the Lord had earlier instructed him to build a church auditorium, but he
delayed in obeying the divine instruction.
“If I was
not expecting this incident before, I would have asked God questions. God told
me this thing is coming. The Lord had told me: ‘Go and build my house. Where
you are using currently is not a church house, it is just a partner house,” he
said.
Prophet
Fufeyin, who’s also known as the Warri TB Joshua, acknowledged that his
disobedience to God’s instruction might have been the reason for the fire and
its attendant losses. However, he assured his followers that he was ready to do
as instructed by God to avert further tragedies.
The church
ground is situated some kilometers shy of the popular Effurun roundabout in
Uvwie Local Government Area of the state. Despite the massive destruction
caused by the inferno, no life was lost in the incident. Earlier video footage
of the raging inferno had gone viral on Tuesday before the confirmation by
Prophet Fufeyin.
